Involvement with grassroots politics in Texas combined with experience of life in the Napa Valley inform Theresa's paintings,
often reflecting a story, a legendary monster or a complex flower. Topics include wealth, the public square, the environment
Trained in the processes of the old masters (by the late Master Painter, Efim Frumin), layers of work begin with a charcoal sketch,
an under-painting with milk-based paint, gelatin, followed by oil paints. The layers combine, creating stories, flowers and creatures
with contrast, humor and very colorful questions.
Theresa's paintings have appeared in local and international juried art exhibits and galleries. Her studio is located in the Napa Valley. Original paintings, prints and merchandise are
available through Paolo Mejia, Red Bubble and Vida. Inquiries regarding commissioned pieces are welcome.
